Badaling Great Wall

Badaling Great Wall

If you are staying in Beijing and have some extra time it would be a “sin” not to visit the Great Wall of China, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. Recently completed Badaling Expressway will take you directly to the Great Wall at Badaling in about an hour.

Badaling Great Wall is the best preserved section of the Great Wall of China built under the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), however, it also also the most visited section. For that reason try to avoid visiting it on a national holiday and at the weekend. However, although Badaling Great Wall can be crowded and to some maybe exhausting to reach the top I am shore you will not regret visiting it.
